Beautiful & Blustery Spring Days

Blues, pinks, refreshing lemons, crisp whites. Sandals in the sun, daffodils in bloom and lazy days spent chasing butterflies through secret passages. Yorkshire on the verge of Spring is truly something to behold the travelling girl thought:

Then the next day the weather changed to moody skies that tumbled along with rolling velocity; bracing winds that blew briskly across the wild browns and dusky greens of heather, shadowy light that cast itself across expanses of green fields with true elegance:

And once again the travelling girl thought; Yorkshire is truly beautiful on the verge of Spring.

Alas, as she walked along the higgledy-piggledy path, soaking up the views and being snap happy with her camera, disaster struck … the foot slipped, the mouth let out an excruciating scream and many hands clutched desperately trying to grab the girl as she fell in a crumpled heap.

Pain came in strong waves but once it subsided a plan was hatched. Faces stared at the sight of a grown woman being pushed haphazardly along in a child’s buggy, but she laughed for it helped to ease the pain of a journey that seemed like an eternity. The travelling girl was thankful for her friends and family who careered on until the car was in sight and now, as she sits typing up her thoughts from the previous few days, she finds she is able to forget about her twisted ankle poised delicately on a kitchen stool with a cushion for comfort. She simply thanks the brother who passed on his mountain buggy when her baby was born because a light-weight urban stroller just wouldn’t have cut it ;-)
